Present Appointment:

Since October 11, 1992, Dr. KJM Rao has served as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Nagarjuna Hospital, Vijayawada. This multispecialty hospital, established in 1992 by UK-trained consultants, specializes in gastroenterology, offering comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services. With a focus on emergency gastrointestinal care and hepatobiliary endoscopy, the hospital boasts a regional gastroenterology unit and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including Olympus endoscopy systems, X-ray with IITV, spiral CT, Fujinon 70X Magnification & Chromo Endoscopy, Double Balloon Enteroscopy, EUS system, and Fujinon ultra-slim Trans Nasal Endoscopy system. Dr. Rao works alongside a team of three medical gastroenterologists and two surgical gastroenterologists.

Dr. Rao’s extensive experience includes various positions such as Locum Consultant Physician in Gastroenterology at Good Hope Hospital, Birmingham, and Southend Hospital, West-Cliff on Sea, Essex.
